FUDPUCKER'S is filling its most important positions today - our MAINTENANCE TECHNICIANS.  We are looking for experienced Maintenance Techs to complete our team here at the world famous Fudpucker's.  If you have skills in carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing and lawn/garden maintenance....we would love to have you as a part of our team.  

 
  • You probably already know this, but Fudpucker's is one of the most famous places in Northwest Florida, if not the Universe.  What you may not know, though, is that we are not just famous because of our great food, cold drinks, funny t-shirts and  live alligators (though these things ARE pretty amazing).  Actually, the main reason that Fudpucker's is famous is because we are really good at making people smile, making people laugh and making people feel at home.  And to do that, our training is all about making people feel welcome - and we are really good at doing that for both our visitors AND our employees.  

  • Our MAINTENANCE TECHS are an integral part of our operation as we depend on their skills and ingenuity to be able to service our visitors, employees and....oh yes...our gators!

  • Of course, in learning to be a good MAINTENANCE TECH at Fudpucker's, our employees actually develop some incredibly STRONG PEOPLE SKILLS... and, these people skills benefit them throughout their lives - long after they leave Fudpucker's.  

 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must be experienced in various areas of maintenance including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting and lawn/garden.  
  • Must be able to operate a motorized vehicle and have a current state issued drivers license (Driving for company purposes is mandatory so license must be in good standing)
  • Must be able to smile and laugh (a LOT)
  • Must be willing to learn lots of stuff about Fudpucker's and our building maintenance needs.
  • Must like being part of a team and being a good teammate (i.e. show up on time, help others, etc.)
  • High School and College degrees are nice, but really not necessary...
  • Must have some English Speaking Skills, but if you are willing to learn the language and teach us yours we are the place for you.  That’s called equal opportunity learning.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:
  • Perform minor mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry repairs.
  • Operation of all tools, machinery and vehicles in a safe manner.
  • Maintaining, cleaning and organizing all tools utilized.
  • Be willing to learn new techniques and skills to facilitate excellence in our operation.
  • Perform daily duties in a safe and productive manner
  • Be willing to help others do the best job they can.
  • Know a lot of stuff about Fudpucker's (and don't worry... we'll teach ya)
  • Have fun with people (I know... we said it before, but hey, that's what we do)
 PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:
  • Must be able to operate a motorized vehicle
  • Must be able to operate power tools
  • Must be able to stay on your feet for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to stoop, bend, and stand while performing duties required.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
  • Must be able to work at intense level for exhaustive periods when required.
  • Must have fun with people (okay... you get the point)
